АННОТАЦИЯ

Based on a semiclassical approach to the analysis of resonant interaction processesbetween coherent radiation and matter, a computational evaluation of the characteristicsof the stationary generation regime in lasers based on quantum-size structures hasbeen performed. The study has shown that the waveguide properties of the gain elementand the phenomenon of radiation self-focusing play an important role in the generationprocess. These effects are driven by the phase resonant nonlinearity of the element’smaterial response, which in turn affects the signal output power.
