The article examines the distinctive features of the election campaign to the IV State Duma in the Belarusian provinces, where the nomination of candidates for deputy positions took into account political, social, and national factors. In the Vilna province, the Polish electoral committee, representing the interests of agrarians and the Catholic Church, succeeded in having its representatives elected as deputies. Among the Russian population of the Vilna province, representatives of the local extreme right wing were elected to the IV Duma. The elections in the Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk, and Mogilev provinces shared a common feature: an active role of the Orthodox Church, supported by local authorities, in the election campaign. As a result, right-wing candidates prevailed. Compared to the III Duma, the composition of deputies from these provinces became more conservative: the majority were supporters of the Union of the Russian People and the All-Russian National Union, while the number of Octobrist deputies noticeably decreased
